David Ricklis is the Drum Major of the MacMillan Pipe Band as well as the business manager for both the MacMillan (Grade 3) and the MacMillan-Birtles Memorial (Grade 5) Pipe Bands. Dave is an alumnus of Robert E. Peary High School, Class of 1967, and has been with MacMillan since its founding in 2001.

Before MacMillan, he has served as the Drum Major for the Peary Pipe Band, Denny & Dunipace Pipe Band, and the Clan Campbell/Dunloggin Pipes and Drums. He also was the Drum Major for the 257th US Army Band prior to and during the Nation’s Bicentennial, 1975-1976. In 2005, he retired from a successful 40-year competition career, but he intends to continue as a teacher and as a Drum Major adjudicator at EUSPBA Scottish games.
